Town Centre Park at 1299 Pinetree Way has ample free visitor parking and is directly accessible from Lafarge Lake-Douglas SkyTrain Station.

Large sports tournaments, community events and recreation programs can create very different parking demand from a normal weekday park visit.
City Centre Aquatic Complex
The aquatic complex at 1210 Pinetree Way uses a City-managed pay lot. The facility may publish temporary parking impacts during competitions and special programming.
Evergreen Cultural Centre / Town Centre Park Community Centre
The City-managed parking serves facilities at 1205 and 1207 Pinetree Way. Event timing can overlap with Town Centre Park demand.
Pinetree Community Centre
The facility is at 1260 Pinetree Way and has accessible parking. Verify the current lot instructions before a long program or event.

Park Within 30 cm of the Curb
When parallel parking legally on a street, keep your curbside wheels within approximately 30 centimetres of the curb or edge of roadway and face the direction of traffic.
Parking on a Hill
When leaving the vehicle unattended on a perceptible grade, turn the wheels toward the curb or side of the street so the vehicle is less likely to roll into traffic if braking fails.
Do Not Park on Boulevards or Cycle Facilities
Do not stop or park on sidewalks, multi-use pathways, protected cycle lanes, medians, traffic islands, traffic bulges or the boulevard behind a barrier curb.
Coquitlam’s 48-Hour Street Parking Rule
No vehicle may remain parked in the same street location for more than 48 continuous hours.
Moving to Another Stall on the Same Block Does Not Work
After remaining on a block for 48 consecutive hours, the vehicle must be removed from that block for at least four hours before it may park on the same block again.
Important: moving the car several metres or to the opposite side of the same block does not restart the 48-hour period.
A Shorter Sign Always Wins
A posted two-hour, paid, loading, Resident Only or other shorter restriction overrides the general 48-hour maximum.
Large Vehicles, RVs and Trailer Parking
Unattached Trailers
Trailers cannot be parked on a City street unless they remain attached to a vehicle capable of towing them.
Vehicles Longer Than 6.5 Metres
Vehicles, mobile equipment or vehicle combinations longer than 6.5 metres generally cannot park on City streets from 8 p.m.–7 a.m., except in industrial-zoned areas or where special City permission applies.
Heavy Vehicles
The City also restricts street parking by vehicles with gross vehicle weight of 4,500 kg or greater, directing them toward appropriate industrial-zoned parking.
RV overnight warning: the ordinary 48-hour rule does not automatically mean that a long motorhome can legally park overnight. Large-vehicle restrictions can apply first.
Resident Parking Permit Zones Changed in 2026
Effective in 2026, Coquitlam no longer develops new Resident Parking Permit Zones and has removed a number of previously existing zones.

Save the Burquitlam Garage Entrance
The commuter stalls are on Level P3 with access from Smith Avenue. A pedestrian YMCA pin may not guide you to the correct vehicle entrance.
